Therapy for women who are exhausted from holding everything and everyone else together.
Therapy for women who are exhausted from holding everything and everyone else together.
You look like you're coping.
Maybe you're the one everyone relies on. You get things done, show up for work, look after everyone else and somehow keep all the plates spinning.
But underneath it all, you're tired.
You're overthinking everything. You're constantly trying to stay on top of life, yet somehow always feel behind. You swing between pushing yourself too hard and feeling completely overwhelmed. You wonder why things that seem effortless for other people take so much energy for you.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
You don't have to keep figuring it all out on your own.
Saturday appointments now available in Paddington.
You might recognise yourself here...
You might be someone who...
Feels like you're constantly "on" and rarely able to properly switch off.
Overthinks conversations, decisions and even small mistakes long after they've happened.
Holds yourself to impossibly high standards and still feels like you're falling short.
Looks capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside.
Finds everyday life takes far more energy than it seems to for everyone else.
Is always trying new planners, routines or productivity systems, hoping this one will finally make things easier.
Wonders if anxiety explains everything, or whether ADHD or autism might also be part of the picture.
Is so used to coping that asking for help feels uncomfortable.
Many of the women we work with have spent years believing they're "too sensitive", "too much", "lazy", "disorganised" or simply not trying hard enough.
Often, that's never been the full story.
Therapy that works with you, not against you.
Therapy isn't about teaching you to become someone different.
It's about understanding how your mind works, making sense of the patterns that have shaped your life and finding practical ways to reduce overwhelm that actually fit who you are.
Together, you might work on:
Understanding why you think, feel and respond the way you do.
Reducing anxiety, overthinking and mental overload.
Recovering from burnout.
Letting go of perfectionism and unrealistic expectations.
Building self-confidence and self-trust.
Developing sustainable routines instead of constantly running on empty.
Navigating relationships and boundaries.
Exploring ADHD or autistic traits in a safe, neuroaffirming space if that's something you've been questioning.
There is no expectation to mask, perform or pretend you're coping.
Meet Justine
Justine is a registered psychologist who works with women experiencing overwhelm, anxiety, perfectionism, low self-worth and burnout.
Many of her clients are beginning to understand how ADHD or autism may have shaped their lives, while others simply know they're exhausted from trying to keep everything together.
Her approach is warm, collaborative and practical. Sessions are a space where you don't need to have the right words or have everything figured out. Together you'll work towards understanding yourself with more compassion while developing strategies that genuinely support the life you want to build.
Justine also supports women navigating relationship challenges, major life transitions, motherhood and identity, always tailoring therapy to what matters most to you.

What your first appointment looks like:
Your first session is simply a conversation.
You'll have space to talk about what's been happening, what's feeling difficult and what you hope might change.
There is no pressure to tell your whole life story in one session or have everything organised before you arrive.
Together, you'll begin building an understanding of what's contributing to your overwhelm and discuss how therapy can support you moving forward.
FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
1
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many women come to us because they're feeling constantly overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out or stuck in patterns of overthinking and perfectionism. If life feels harder than it seems like it should, therapy can help you better understand what's going on and develop strategies that feel sustainable.
Can therapy help if I think I might have ADHD or autism?
2
Yes. Many women come to therapy because they're beginning to wonder whether ADHD or autism might explain why they've always felt different, overwhelmed or exhausted from trying to keep up. You don't need to have a diagnosis, or even be certain that's what's going on, to benefit from therapy.
Together, we'll explore your experiences in a neuroaffirming way, helping you better understand yourself while developing practical strategies that reduce overwhelm and support your wellbeing. If, through therapy, it seems like an assessment may be helpful, we can also discuss your options.
Can therapy help if I'm high functioning?
3
Yes. Many of the women we work with are successful in their careers, caring partners or parents, and the people everyone else relies on. Looking like you're coping doesn't mean things aren't difficult. Therapy can help you understand why life feels so exhausting behind the scenes and support you to create a more sustainable way of living.
Do I need a referral or Mental Health Care Plan?
4
No. You can book an appointment without a referral. If you'd like to access Medicare rebates, you'll need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP before your appointment. If you don't have one, you're still welcome to attend privately or use private health insurance if you have psychology cover.
How long does therapy usually take?
5
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come to therapy for support through a specific challenge, while others benefit from spending more time understanding long-standing patterns and creating lasting change.
From the beginning, we'll work together to understand what you're hoping to get out of therapy and regularly check in on how things are going. Our aim is always to provide the right support for as long as it's helpful, so you feel empowered to move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.
What if I'm not sure whether Justine is the right psychologist for me?

Finding the right fit matters. If you'd like to ask a few questions before booking, you're welcome to book a complimentary 10-minute introductory phone call with Justine. It's a chance to chat about what you're looking for and decide whether working together feels right for you.
If you've been thinking about reaching out but keep telling yourself you'll do it once things calm down, consider this your reminder that you don't have to wait until you're completely burnt out before getting support.
We'd love to welcome you.
